There are plenty of positive things to say about this hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile to assist. The lobby is a welcoming space, perfect for relaxing or working as a mobile office. I especially appreciated their self-service bar, which added a nice touch of convenience. The breakfast buffet was delightful, offering a fresh and diverse selection of pastries and savory options. The location is another standout feature—just a short walk from Central Station and situated right by the Sablon, surrounded by galleries and a variety of excellent restaurants. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money, and I highly recommend it.

The hotel is great for a short trip like a weekend getaway, it’s 5 min walk away to grand place and galleries royales yet tucked away in a very quiet street. With the current bed bug situation in Paris and nearby and the Palestine protests, I was very happy to see the room was clean and designed to be easily cleaned, and the location was perfect close to everything yet far away enough from the crowds so very quiet. I didn’t use the pool and sauna but my friends said it was nice.

The design and decor of The Standard is amazing, a feast of retro architecture and interiors. We loved our room - a huge super king bed, gorgeous furniture and a playful colour scheme. We were only there for one night but we are looking forward to staying again. The staff were super-helpful and friendly. A shout out to Zlatimir especially who carried our heavy luggage and showed us the amazing views from the roof terrace/bar.

Good breakfast. The pool/ sauna was nice and plenty big for the number of other guests wanting to use it. Also nice that the gowns were a reasonable size, could fit both larger and smaller people without looking silly. Rooms were clean and had plenty of storage, loved the walk in shower we had in our room. Walking distance to the centre of Brussels although the hotel is up a small slope so much easier going down!!

Benjamin

Location is excellent, at a slight distance from the tourist masses, but close enough to walk, and peaceful in a small backstreet. Friendly and helpful service. I used the sauna and pool. The latter is more for a luke warm plunge. Swimming is not easy with lots of steps and restricted size, but it was good enough to cool off. Bed is comfortable, and bathroom functional.
